Get 2010 off to a flying start with Business Leads UK
Last year proved a tough year for most of us and so we’ve made it even easier over at Business Leads UK for us to do business with you in 2010 ... First job was to add a touch of colour. We ran a survey to choose a new logo to which over 50 people responded, thank you, D was the winner... and so was email!! We asked people to respond by their preferred method; by filling in a form, picking up the phone, sending an email or using Twitter. Although 15% responded via Twitter, 60% came back via email ... and Brian called me and we had a good chat about marketing and 2010. Yes you can nod & wink with Twitter and deal with something in your own time by email but you can’t beat a five (or probably 10) minute chat to really connect and establish clarity!! What was logical & interesting is that if people are part of a community, like BLUK, then if they can respond to a question using the online form which adds their feedback to the blog, they will. So we would recommend you use the response mechanism that best fits your client’s engagement with your media. The majority of our contacts get our email newsletters therefore it was easier for most to respond using email. By the same token, if people get a hard copy postal magazine from you, let them respond by sending you a post card ... it fits with the media. If they read your magazine online and connect to you via Twitter then Tweet! Next job was to make it easier for people to sign up, we’d added Twitter but why were we asking a question about networking groups? That really localises it and this is Business Leads UK! So we’ve dropped the questions and also the finance from the sign up page ... that only kicks in if someone is looking to be a Group Leader ... so when they request a Group be set up or an event get posted we can point them to the necessary page and remove an obstacle to the sign up. KISS – Keep It Simple Stupid was a phrase I was taught in sales many moons ago and it is very true today! Business Leads UK gives you a FREE BLOG ! If someone wants to become a Group Leader and promote events through the BLUK site then they need to take out our monthly membership which for 2010 needed a bit of lift, so we figured a good price for this would be £7.47 ... how does that sound to you? Many business men and women mean to get on with updating their online profiles and blogs but they run out of time each day. To assist we have come up with a service we call Social Media Distribution which means we take your content and distribute this via our various social media channels, our key channel is Google News. Content added to the news pages of our BinB micro sites gets indexed very rapidly, within minutes, and distributed around the world via Google News and their alerts programme ... to which they have around 20,000,000 subscribers!! If your news is something people are interested in then it will get picked up and you never know who may call. We got a call from Virgin Media last year as a direct result of our activity ... Who would you like to connect with? Write your story, send it to us, pay online and away we go!!
